The Scot Agri Apprenticeship is ideal for anyone interested in anything mechanical who would like to earn while they learn!
The program lasts four years and will provide you with the training you need to become a fully qualified service engineer and allow you to work on machinery from world-leading manufacturers such as JCB, Massey Ferguson, Horsch, Berthoud, and more.

What Will You Learn?
As an apprentice at Scot Agri, you’ll gain hands-on experience and learn the skills needed to keep agricultural machinery running at its best. You’ll cover:
- The basics of hydraulics, electrics, and engines
- Advanced techniques for diagnosing and solving mechanical issues
- Customer service and teamwork skills to excel in the agricultural industry
You’ll learn from experienced engineers who understand the challenges and rewards of working in agriculture.
Year 1
College
Learning the basics/Introductions.
In-house Training
Apprentice induction at Glasgow Training Centre and online Scot JCB training.
On the Job
In between, you'll be out and about with your team learning from real life experience.
Year 2
College
Continuing curriculum working on your portfolio.
In-house Training
Basic electrics, hydraulics, transmissions and engines.
On the Job
In between, you’ll be out and about with your team learning from real life experience.
Year 3
College
Completing the course and finishing your portfolio to gain your qualification.
In-house Training
Product specific training (depot dependant).
On the Job
In between, you will take what you have learned from college and working with our engineers to be able to complete some tasks unsupervised.
Year 4
College
Complete any outstanding work.
In-house Training
Product specific/forklift training (age dependant).

In your final year it is expected that you will be able to complete tasks unsupervised and work independently.
