The MF 8s series was selected as ‘Tractor of The Year’ in 2021 and has also picked up numerous other industry awards for outstanding technology, productivity, and operational usage. It boasts efficient drivelines which bring higher levels of productivity while the engine efficiency lowers the operational costs, and the new cab offers quiet and comfort.

We recently caught up with Graham from S&A Kerr Keilburn Farm to find out what he thought of his brand-new Massey Ferguson 8S.265.

How have you found the vehicle since taking delivery?

“It’s done everything we have asked of it. It has been reliable, and the fuel economy has been good too on the machine which has been nice, especially just now”

What are you enjoying the most about the machine?

“The cab comfort is one of the things that operators have said back to me. The capacities and the gross vehicle weight were also the features that drew us toward this machine”

What made you get the 8S? Did you take a demo? Have you had MF before?

“We have had both, we had a demo and had Massey before and were very impressed with them, and that’s why we chose to go with this one.”

How have you found the ride/comfort/cab experience?

“The cab has been exceptionally quiet and comfortable whenever you are inside it. It makes it a lot easier to be inside.”

How have you found the technology, has it improved your operational experience?

“The use of the joystick and other controls has been excellent, the machine is very responsive and easy to operate, it’s a great machine.”

How has your dealer backup and support been? Has the process from start to finish been smooth?

“The support (from Scot Agri) has been great, there was a slight delay in getting the machine, but that is true for most things at the minute as there are long delays. Finance and payments were all easy to set up and servicing support has always been great.”
