7 Key Benefits of the Massey Ferguson 9S Tractor Range
Massey Ferguson’s New Era of agricultural machinery is reliable and simple. The range combines connectivity, power and adaptability catering to the real needs of today’s farmers. The newest range of machinery, the 9S, launched last weekend at Agritechnica in Germany.
The models within the Massey Ferguson 9S range start with the 9S.285 (max 285hp) to the MF 9S.425 (max 425hp). Each model has a dependable 6-cylinder, 8.4l AGCO Power engine and a 660l capacity fuel tank.
1. Efficient Drive-line for High Productivity
The highly respected MF Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission complete with the new Automatic Mode, transfers power effortlessly to provide industry-leading ease of control. The MF Dyna-VT works in both Multipad lever and pedal modes.
2. Unique and Practical Design
Massey’s Protect-U design has an 18cm gap between the engine and cab which gives the operator first rate visibility and comfort by reducing noise and vibrations to just 69dBA, making this spacious cab one of the quietest workplaces on the farm.
3. Cab Comfort and Connectivity
The Massey Ferguson 9S cab gives the operator all round visibility. The cab design is enhanced by new cameras and a powerful LED light package. The levers and controls are all easily accessible and the new armrest gives operators “best-in-class” control. The MF Display digital dashboard and Datatronic 5 terminal make it easy to see all of the information the operator requires.
4. New Central Tyre Inflation System
When working on the Massey Ferguson 9S the operator can easily adjust the tyre pressure to either increase tractor or reduce compaction. In just four minutes the tyre pressures can be altered in typical VF710/75R42 and VF620/75R30 tyres from 0.8bar to 1.6bar.
5. Higher Performance, Whatever the Task
The uprated closed-centre hydraulics deliver 205 litres/min at only 1,650rpm on the new MF9S which not only reduces fuel consumption, but it also reduces noise. There is also a new centre pump option, which can generate 340 litre/min at 1,650rpm which is available with six spool valves to handle complex machines. The hydraulic connect is facilitated through decompression levers which are provided as standard.
6. MF9S Power to Weight Ratio
The 9S from Massey Ferguson offers the best-in-class power-to-weight ratio with 25.6kg/hp which helps to boost performance and increase payload all while reducing fuel consumption. The 9S also boasts a tight turning radius of 5.75m and it can handle heavy loads both in the field and on the road.
7. Connect to Precision Farming
There is an optional dual-screen design which provides the ultimate control for smart farming applications including MF Guide, MF Section Control and MF Rate Control. Operators can also utilise data transfer and management through TaskDoc. There are also new additions such as MF AutoTurn and Auto HeadLand for hands-free headland turns. Finally, the new ISOBUS TIM (tractor Implement Management system) will automatically manage the tractor’s functions such as speed and hydraulics.
